Welcome Note

Since the 1950s, the production of plastic has outpaced that of almost every other material due to its versatility and functionality. Most of these plastics are designed to be thrown away after being used only once (single-use) which results in single-use disposable plastics waste accumulation. Only nine per cent of the nine billion tonnes of plastic the world has ever produced has been recycled. Most ends up in landfills, dumps or in the open environment.

Malaysia is a global player in the plastic industry with currently about 1,300 plastic manufacturers. As of 2016, our exports amounted to RM30 billion which saw a 2.26 million metric tonnes of resin utilised to produce plastics.

Environmental problems related to plastic waste have become a major problem in Malaysia where it has been ranked as 8th among the top ten countries with mismanaged plastic waste in the world. A study estimated that Malaysia had produced 0.94 million tons of mismanaged plastic wastes, of which 0.14 to 0.37 million tons may have been washed into the oceans.

Hence, DRN Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (DMSB) will strive to promote the use of Biodegradable Plastics. With the increased use and manufacturing of bioplastics, we can expect a greener and a more sustainable future for our planet.

We, at DMSB wants to make a difference that can be continued for generations to come. The bio-economy has a challenge as the epidemic of plastic waste pollution is producing such a critical results in our oceans and in our natural way of life.

DMSB was set up by a little gathering of people who are totally intrigued and worried about what we are doing to the environment we live in. Take a deep breath, look around, world's pollution is getting sicker and deadlier by the day, and we have to change our way to deal with it. For example: one of the way to safe our world is we need to change our approach to plastic waste by embracing the suitable materials that aren't most recent thousand of years before they've biodegraded.

Our Research team has over 10 years knowledge and involvement with growing new maintainable materials that are being used in our daily lives. These new practical materials are currently progressively supplanting a significant number of the plastics that are dirtying our oceans and undoubtedly the land we live on.

Goverments around the globe are prohibiting plastics for these new ecologically protected and supportable materials, we are glad to be at the bleeding edge of the bundling transformation that is going on today. We should get it going, together! ''

Beside that, anything that helps humankind solve the plastics problem has to be a great thing, right? Unfortunately, environmental issues are never quite so simple. Actions that seem to help the planet in obvious ways sometimes have major drawbacks and can do damage in other ways. It's important to see things in the round to understand whether ''environmentally friendly'' things are really doing more harm than good.''

About Our Company

DMSB is company that develops and produces sustainable bioplastics made from plantbased waste resources. The film and rigid application range stretches from refuse and shopper bags to garbage bags, including straw for food industry, and many other requests from our clients. DMSB produces and sells a new generation of customized thermoplastic materials with various functional properties. All products made from DMSB grades are 100% biodegradable. With an extensive sales network, covering most Malaysia, DMSB provides the finest customer service and technical support.
